Online counselling might also suit people with mobility issues, or simply be a preferred choice for those who want anonimity, or feel more comfortable in an o­nline environment.

The Relationship Help O­nline counsellors are staff of Relationships Australia NSW. This means that they have gone through the Relationship Australia selection process, and have the necessary qualifications and experience in relationship counselling. All staff who do o­nline counselling are also trained and supervised specifically in regard to providing counselling o­nline.

Counselling o­n this website is conducted via real-time secure chat. We take every precaution to protect confidentiality and security, however, communication over the Internet always carries a degree of risk.

Relationships Australia is a leading provider of professional services to support relationships. It is a not-for-profit community-based organisation with centres in every state and territory of Australia.

The organisation began in 1948 under the name of Marriage Guidance Council with counselling services provided mainly by volunteers. Since then the organisation has grown to provide a range of professional relationship support services. In 1994 we changed our name to Relationships Australia. In 2003 we celebrated 55 years of service to Australian families.

What We Do

Relationships Australia provides counselling, mediation and education for people who want to improve their lives and their relationships, aw well as those who are rebuilding their lives after a separation, or are dealing with other personal or family problems. This organisation is approved under the Family Relationships Services Program, which is administered by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services.
